Most popular TV shows on Hulu this week

From a fun new twist on the classic procedural format to a sequin-filled reality series, you're bound to find your next favorite show among Hulu's 10 most popular series this week. 

Hulu's new original series "Shardlake" is a four-part murder mystery that premiered in full on May 1. Adapted from the first novel in C.J. Sansom's series of the same name, the show centers on a 16th-century lawyer who solves crimes named Matthew Shardlake (Arthur Hughes) and the brutish henchman he's forced to work with, John Barak (Anthony Boyle). 

Hulu subscribers have also been tuning into "Dance Moms," the Lifetime reality show that originally premiered in 2011 and ran for eight seasons. The show focuses on a group of young dancers doing intensive training at the Abby Lee Miller Dance Company, and their often overbearing mothers. The series spawned several stars including Maddie Ziegler, who has a burgeoning acting career, and JoJo Siwa, who recently released a catchy new single called "Karma." "Dance Moms: The Reunion," a two-hour special that reunited a majority of former cast members, aired on May 1 followed by the premiere of a ninth season of the show, "Dance Moms: Epic Showdowns," which features highlights from the original series. New episodes of the 10-episode compilation season will air every Wednesday and be available for streaming the following day.
